Providing the right support for people with Dementia is vital for their safety, quality of life and well-being. AKAY Care offers support to Dementia patients whose needs can still be safely met at home. We will persevere to ensure that our service user is comfortable, well- nourished and safe in their environment without the feeling of being isolated. They will be assisted with their chosen activities indoors or outdoors where it is ‘safe.’

We work in partnership with the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) which include therapists, district nurse, general practitioners (GP) and also with their family to address any complex needs or challenging behaviour that may arise. As dementia is a progressive condition, care plans and risk assessments are reviewed regularly to ensure that changing needs are assessed and hazards are mitigated.
